P–3 Alignment in Math, Science, and Computer Science
P–3 alignment supports children’s learning and academic success across domains. In this module, we focus on math, science, and computer science. Although P–3 efforts often cover preschool through third grade, Count Play Explore (CPE) promotes early math, science, and computer science learning starting at birth. As you go through this module, reflect on how work with educators of infants and toddlers can complement a focus on P–3.
In your agency, different individuals or teams might focus on math, science, and computer science. When working toward a P–3 alignment approach, you may choose to focus on one, two, or all three areas, depending on your role and the priorities of your agency.
