Mary Childrey, Program Supervisor: We want to continue the momentum of math being fun and people being excited about having math in their programs. And we have three sessions, the date's already planned out. And we're going to kick off in December with spatial awareness and reasoning, which we're still developing that. And we also want do something around geometry and number sense. We're still in the development phase, but we're very excited about it. And we're going to closely tie in the coaching sessions with the professional development sessions that we have. So we'll have the professional learning and then a week later, we'll meet, via Zoom with the group, to reflect on how it went. So we structure the training, they'll try out and play and reflect with their group, and brainstorm ideas. And they'll take an idea back to their program and do it. And a week later, we'll come back together to reflect on how did the activity go: What did you notice in your children? What went well? What might you change? What other ideas are you thinking about? And things like that. So we want to keep it kind of close together, because too much time goes by, you forget, and you don't try it. So you want to have that paired very closely together—the professional learning and also the coaching sessions.
