Our Approach:

Count Play Explore (CPE) celebrates every child’s curiosity and motivation to learn about the world around them. CPE empowers families, caregivers, educators, and other education professionals to support joyful explorations of math and science through playful learning.

CPE's work is grounded in four principles:

  • Math and science are for everyone. All children, educators, and families can engage in math and science thinking and problem solving.
  • Math and science are everywhere. Opportunities for math and science are all around and can take place at home, at school, and in the community.
  • Math and science are fun and playful. Play provides opportunities for children and adults to engage in hands-on, meaningful, and joyful math and science experiences.
  • Math and science mindsets matter. Positive math and science mindsets set the foundation for adults and children to succeed in math and science.
